I am confused.

Do we send you our stories in a PM, or do we inform you of them in a PM, and then post them on the Sex Stories site, *not_secure_link*stories.xnxx.com/ , or the Sex Stories Forum?

My assumption is that November 12, 2011 is the first date we should send you a pm and/or post the stories. Mine is already finished. Indeed, with a few modifications, I composed it half a lifetime ago, although I have never submitted it any where, or tired to get it published.

 

Don't pm me your stories. Some of them are too long for the pm format here, anyway.

Post your stories on either the Sex Stories Site or the Sex Stories Forum, or both. That's up to you. You can do that today, if you want. To help get more interest for both your story and the CAW in general, I suggest you post your link(s) in this thread.

BUT, a story isn't an official entry into CAW#9 until you pm me at least one link to your story, and I won't take official entries before November 12, 2011. This gives the over-achievers (we all know who we are, don't we?) time to sort out which of their works they want to submit, and the OCD/wordy types (like me) at least a fighting chance of getting a story done.

In other words, post it first. Pm me a link to it sometime between November 12, 2011 and 11:59pm, U.S. Eastern Standard Time (figure it out) on November 30, 2011. That's it. You're in.

Clarice asked about poems, so I guess song lyrics are ok. Trying to write an x-rated version of Up on the House Top. Is there a minimum number of words or characters?

 

On the Sex Stories Site, a minimum of 5000 characters is required, so unless you write a LOT of verses, you may have trouble posting it over there. Here on the forum, it doesn't matter. You could even add a link to the tune in your forum post, so people who aren't familiar with the original song can easily understand what you're doing.

So, who do we have so far? Clarise, hornyelk, seeminglysatisfied, Minus Three, duskshade, ejls, nutmoney, crackedjaguar, thatcuriousone, NoOnesBitch, kuriusbouterrything, Impax, JackassTales, NoTopNoCollar, Private Rickmers, Cheltenham, and ugly_kid_joe. That's seventeen already, and some previous CAW entrants haven't been heard from.

Remember, post any time you want, and pm me the link(s) somewhere between November 12 and November 30.

 

Mine's already up. I'll send you the link on November 12 and it's just on the forum. There apparently is a guy who read it in two minutes. Maybe I should ask him to write a story review for me :excited:

 

So what are we going to do if we end up with more than 25 entries, 25 being the maximum number of items you can post a poll about? Runoff vote? The first 25 who come along and then cut it off (I don't think that's a good idea myself, but I'm not in charge. Though come to think of it, no one really is).

 

We'll have to run two polls. Possibly they can be linked, but what do I know? I'm going to need help setting it up. Seems to me, the story with the most votes overall wins. If you get more votes than anyone else in either poll, you're setting up CAW#10.

If there's a two-way tie, we have a partnership running the next one, not unlike what ejls and JackassTales did a while ago.

Three-way tie? Well, I guess we could do a run-off poll, couldn't we?

Thoughts, anyone?

 

Poll ideas:

If we have that many entries over 25, split them between two polls. Divide the previous winners between both polls to attract voters to each and assure everyone has a fair chance of being read.

Either that or we can go by an open ballot system. Each person who would have voted can list the story they liked in a post on the poll thread and you could tally them in that fashion. Any tie breakers can be dealt with by a jointly run CAW like you've mentioned.

 

Can't be linked. Two polls can work. Kitty (Cheltenham) had an interesting idea of using a non-poll system. Just set up a thread and let people indicate who they vote for. All you'd need to do is keep, offline, a list of the stories, and then as you start tallying up votes, daily, every few days, whenever, you just add to your list, and keep track of the last post number, so you know where to pick up. Wouldn't be that hard at all. (Well, *it* might be, depending upon the quality of the stories, and whether you get any hot PMs trying to coerce you to throw the vote :excited: )

I'd try the non-poll if you go over 25. Just my 3.14159 cents.

I have a "gift" story idea and am now putting together some words for CAW9. I don't know where the story will lead but I'll let it lead me where it goes.

I think it's done .... I hope.... Will wait for word from the editor... and see what they say...<--- note sexually ambiguous pronoun, I will of course need to edit it.... I don't know if I can get away with another cliffhanger begging for a serial.

Hey there, have an idea for this and would love to enter, are there any Limits to the content of the Story? there won't be any incest or children involved but other than that it would be fairly extreme.

There have been a number of dark and twisted tales entered in past CAWs. Incest is an acceptable topic on xnxx.com, but, as you apparently already know, children in sexual situations are not.

So, by all means, write something and enter it. The more, the merrier.

 

Well, I am considering entering now that I have read the thread comments . The problem I might have is that although I am bisexual, for some reason I am only good at writing gay sex stories. I'm a little worried that the fact that it's gay might handicap my story you know? There are probably far more straight readers than gay/bi readers on this site which could mean that my story would recieve fewer reads and therefor fewer votes. Make sense? lol. Anyway, I think I'll have a go at writing something, it can't hurt to try! If I get something decent done in time for the closing date then I will submit it to you . This competition is a great idea btw! I can't wait to see what everyone writes!
