    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    Pork chops roasted slowly for 3 hours in a low oven, served with turnip and carrot mash, green beens and gravy. Cooked by me at the request of my gf for when she finishes work. Serving in about an hour. She's providing pudding.

      I only make traditional Yorkshire puds, large rectangular tin, one big pud. But the theory is the same. Goose or duck fat is brill, but lard will do. Get your oven hot, get your fat hot, almost smoking then pour in the mixture and cook, check and turn round about half way and it should rise up. Serve immediately, enjoy! Good luck! Never use oil instead of lard it's not the same. X

      Nothing done to them, bone in, placed in a deep tray, covered with foil, no added fat, gas Mark 4, first hour or so with foil on. Remove foil and turn over, turn about every hour till ready to serve. They need at least 3 to 3 and half hours. Hope that helps.

    A Sunday gravy with Rigatoni macaroni and ricotta cheese on the side. A lot of Italian Americans call it a gravy because of the meats that are put into the sauce, meatballs, sausage, braciole, etc. When you incorporate meat into a tomato sauce, the meat drippings now make that sauce a gravy. Capisce?

    Last week I made a peasant soup. That's what I call it, it really has no name that I know. Kielbasa, cabbage, carrots, onions, a can of cannellini beans and garlic of course. Dice all ingredients accept the beans of course, and saute with a little olive oil, sweat everything. Once you get you get some nice color add your chicken broth. Cook until cabbage and carrots are just tender, then add the beans with juice and finish till beans are just tender. Nice comfort food for a cold winter night. But be prepared to do a lot of farting

    I'm doing a stew today, popping in oven on a low light and leaving till about 5.30 ish tonight. About 7 or so hours. Something to look forward to all day and the house smells great. Served in a bowl with fresh baked warm crusty bread rolls and butter. Tasty filling and what's left will be curried with rice thursday, or maybe lightly spiced and served with pasta, or pored into the middle of a big Yorkshire pudding. Depends what I fancy on the day.
