Is anyone else having difficulty with XNXX being slow? Every other website I go to works perfectly fine but when I go to XNXX its slow, usually timing out on me and it's beginning to annoy. Just wondering if I'm the lone ranger or if other people are experiencing this as well.

No, you're not robinson crusoe with that, sometimes it goes slow or we get "504 timeouts"...you'll get used to them around these parts.

After trying to get on without "Gateway Time-Outs" for an hour and 45 minutes, I quit and did some work for 3 hours (shocking, I know) and just came back.

It is still slow, but at least the screens come up rather than timing out....

 

you get used to it. I think there are specific times of the day when it gets timeout errors. I find around midnight US-Eastern time I get timeouts for a while, then it goes back to normal. Also it seems in the mornings as well, since the past few mornings I've been getting them, but I haven't paid enough attention to notice the timing of them.

 

I haven't gotten any timeouts in about 2 months, and my connection is pretty slow to start with.....

 

It has appeared slow in loading pages and posting comments for a few months now, I originally thought it was my comp, but all other sites load fast so I reckon it is down to what ever programme the servers are running it on, there was a point a few weeks ago when one of the host picture sites was taking around 30 seconds or more to load but that seems to have been resolved.

I guess because it is free the owners don't feel the need to use up to date software until they have to.

 

I have found that, when the site slows like that, it's often best to learn a foreign language.

After three years here I can now speak English and Bad English.

 

It's also possible that the sheer weight of traffic on a free porn site slows things down - there's no reason for the site owners to spend even more money (for little or no additional income) on extra server space, we just have to put up with it

I have also noticed that it is at its worst when the schools are out, it's almost as if all the kids are anonymously lurking around here

I left for three hours and did some work, came back and it was running faster.

I left for another 90 minutes, came back and it was running even faster.

I left for another hour, came back and it was running faster still, and it pretty much normal now.

I figure if I leave a couple more times, XNXX will approach the speed of sound......

 

Yeah... I don't think that's the point, Ump. Having the money and justifying a purchase aren't the same. In any case, I don't think it's the issue.

 

Oooh no, Ump sweetie - what I meant was that they don't need to spend extra money on upgrading their servers just so that the forum can run a bit quicker - we're just a side dish, an amuse bouche to the real revenue spinners on the video site.

 

But they do spend money to upgrade the servers occasionally. In fact, that is one of the reasons that things slow down periodically----they are working on upgrades.

I get pissy when I have time to play here, but things are not working well, but that's life. In several hours or a couple of days, things get back to normal and members are happy (well, most of 'em) again.

 

To be honest yesterday was the first day I experienced this, but things are working perfectly fine now

 

You are more patient than I. Only took me 20 minutes yesterday to get fed up with it. I consider this week xnxx's "monthly gift" time. I thought I was kind of use to it, but it's kinda bad this week...or is this the new norm?

 

It is not really patience.

I am usually working at the same time I am here, so it is more a matter of checking back in to this site occasionally to see if things are up to speed yet.

If it is the new "norm", the norm is fine as far as I can tell----no slowdowns or timeouts since yesterday afternoon.....
