  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

I just spent 3 hours today queuing for tickets for the Southend V Man Utd Carling Cup game. £45 later and me and my lad are going to be there. I can't wait. I've never managed to get to see Man Utd before, although in truth I'm probably going to see Man Utd reserves, given how highly Fergie rates the Carling Cup.

It'll be good either way on the result - Man U looked very patchy in the last round and were lucky to get through.

Come on Southend - it will be great to see the manks take a pasting.

Watch Liverpool from here on in - the result against Villa is the start of something good!

Aye that was a good result. Although I really expected a win at Anfield, it was really sweet for them to have gotten the three points so securely. Even after Villa got the one back, the Reds weren't phased and didn't let Villa back in.

Hopefully tomorrow's result against Bordeaux will send us through to the next round in Champion's League.

I was impressed by the Reds against Villa. I have a real dilemma with Villa this year. I'm originally from Leicester, and so Martin O'Neill is God, as far as I'm concerned (He's the only deity I really do believe in!) and I always want him to do well wherever he is. But Villa! Villa! I want them to lose. Every week. And to have all their players sent off. And to go bust. So I still want O'Neill to win, but I want his team to bomb. I'm so confused!

But back to the point, Liverpool did really well. Villa may not be the most entertaining this year but they are tough to break down and that was their first defeat. The problem for Liverpool is consistency. I suspect that their os so much squad rotation going on that the players are getting dizzy.

I'd lend you Louis Carey from Bristol City, but hes doing to well this season, scored again Saturday, 2nd in the league now woot!

Waits for 300 games before he can score and now hes knocked loads in. Oh well.. Yeovil Saturday... should be interesting.

    Should be a good result tonight - prediction of 2 - 0.

Hopefully rent boys will take a pasting from Barcelona as well - I initially thought Mourino was a breath of fresh air to the Prem League - now I just think he's a spoilt wanker that doesn't take losing gracefully. He's a prick who should take a long walk on a short pier.

What I was hoping for too. Three - nil was even better!

Ah so close.... Barcelona now has their work cut out for them just to get to the knockout round.

Being on this side of the pond, I didn't really see much of him in while he was in the "breath of fresh air" phase. I only started to notice him when everytime Liverpool knocked off Chelsea in a cup competition, he never had anything kind to say about the team that beat him and myriad reasons why Chelsea had been victimized and deserved to go on. If he had half the class that Rafa has, he'd be a heck of a lot classier guy than he is.

All in all a really good night - the performance from Liverpool was top class, and it was great to see Stevie G break his duck for the year - hopefully the flood gates are open now - we'll see!

    Guys,

This is the first time I've got back on here since the game but did you see the result against Man Utd! My lad said to me after the game "Dad, I'm going to remember that game and that goal as long as I live!"

And Ferguson saying that Freddy Eastwood's goal was a once in a lifetime strike! NO! It is a fairly regular occurrence, although, granted, it isn't usually against such illustrious opposition.

And the fear that we'd be watching Man Utd reserves was unfounded. They only had one player without international caps, whereas we only had Spencer Prior who'd ever played in the premier league.

Ah the magic of football! I was surprised as you about the result. Fergie didn't necessarily put out his Premiership best, but that was nonetheless a good group your boys got the result against. Your quarterfinal against Tottenham at White Hart Lane is not the worst draw you could have pulled.

We're going to try to get tickets for that, too. Some of the lads school friends are Spurs fans, so it's going to be a bit of a biggy for him, particularly.

Good luck with tickets and the match as well. I think it's always good fun when teams from League Championship or below go deep into these competitions, knocking off a few Prem teams in the process.

Who saw the England/Holland match tonight? I missed almost all of it. On the face of it we must have improved to get a draw against Holland but looking at their line-up, and how they played in the few minutes I caught, then maybe we were just as bad as we have ben recently.

So early in his tenure McLaren already looks like a huge leap into the past, rather than a brave foray into the future.

    Any thoughts?

I support Southampton, but live and work in Portsmouth and get blasted by the derby rivalry. I'm only pleased that deep down I KNOW the Saints are much better than Pompey! I'm pleased to see The Glovers (Yeovil Town) are doing well this season.

I used to share a flat with a guy who was a staunch Pompey supporter........or should I say 'maniac'..........I got sick of all those flags on the living-room walls. :(

I think that's where I got my (sorry ) distaste for football from!
